Biography

Bachelor of Science in Geology, University of Washington, Seattle, 1968, Master of Science in Educational Administration from Texas A&m University, Commerce Tx. 1972, and Ph. D. in Business Administration from the University of Oklahoma 1979. He started his career after his bachelor degree as Administrative Assistant to the Dean of the College of Petroleum and Minerals, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 1968, and received scholarship for graduate studies, rejoined King Fahad University of petroleum and minerals after completing his graduate studies as Professor 1979 – 1985, and served as Dean of the College of Industrial Management between 1985 – 1989. Appointed as Secretary General for Gulf Organisation for Industrial Consulting 1989 – 1999.  He was selected as member of the Saudi Ashura Council in 1993 and for three consecutive terms till 2005. During his term as Ashura member he served as Chairman of the Finance Committee for four years, was appointed Governor of the Saudi Commission for communication and Information Technology in 2007-2011, served as board member in the Board of Directors of the Saudi Arabian Mining Company, Dar Al Youm Press and Publishing, Gulf international Bank, SAAB takaful, aldrees co. and Saudi International petrochemical co. He has numerous published researches, books and lectures.
